This centre provides supported residential accommodation for adults with intellectual disabilities. The buildings were developed at the periphery of Cork city-centre, on agreen-field site that benefits from a large number of existing mature trees.
The scheme accommodates thirty eight people in a mix of units comprising four and six bedroomed houses and an apartment building with one and two bedroomed units.
The facility is arranged as a sequence of buildings orientated to benefit from sunshine, natural light and views to the trees.
The combination of these buildings is expressed as a stepped urban wall, with annexes defining external courtyards which distinguish each house.
